Bzzzzzz, Bzzzzzzz

I have been a very busy bee. Last week was a 'staycation' for my family. We took the munchkin to see Cars 2 in the theater, which was an experience, let me tell you. The only good news was that it was a matinee and other families had brought their children and their children were worse behaved than mine! ;)  Seriously, it wasn't a  terrible ordeal... but it wasn't a lot of fun for me either. Oh, and Cars 2 was really a great movie. At least, I think it was... I didn't get to see all of it. I was busy toddler wrangling. I will say that it is a lot more violent than the first one though. Cars die, man. Die! In the first few minutes. I don't think my munchkin really understood that, but older kids around 3 or 4 might notice.

We also took some time to do things around the city. Trip to the park, fireworks for the 4th, s'mores. The Hubby and I also got a night out while the munchkin spent some time being spoiled by her grandparents. We went out to eat with some friends and saw Transformers 3. Yep, the theater got a lot of money from us last week! All-in-all, a really great week.

As for book business: Mortal Obligation is in the hands of Anne at Victory Editing. She is helping make my book polished and ready for publishing. I will let you guys know when it goes live. I can't wait to hear what you think of it! I have also been working on book two of the Dark Betrayal Trilogy. Whew, is it going to be angsty! :)

How have you guys been spending your summer? Any big plans or fun adventures? Who else is excited about Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2? I can not wait to see it. Kind of sad that it will be over, but exciting nonetheless.

  1. I'm in the middle of winter down under, but that's kinda okay because I don't mind those nights where you can snuggle up in front of the heater and listen to the pattering rain on the roof.

The coolest thing (pardon the pun) about these winter evenings is that I tend to do a lot of outdoor cooking which I love and I have turned out some absolutely delicious roast meals from the Weber (kettle oven). Not to blow my own trumpet too loudly, but I rock in the kitchen.
