I know that many of you have been asking about when Immortal Grave would be available. Here's the thing. Sometimes, a book takes a little longer than planned. There are a lot of reasons for that and some of them are out of my control. At this point, I hope to have my book to my (spectacular, amazing, talented) Super Editor in a week or so. Once the book goes to Anne, it will take a week or so to go through edits. DEPENDING on a lot of things. This could change; it could be less time, or more. I just can't tell you until after we go through it. Then, the book has to be formatted. Since I am *terrible* at formatting, I pay a profession to do it for me. And trust me, it's for you guys too! But, that means that I am at the mercy of their schedule, too. Technology and I have a love hate relationship. Mostly, I hate formatting and it hates me.
So, Immortal Grave will be out soon, but it will not be in March. I'm sorry for that. To avoid any confusion in the future, I will not be giving exact dates for releases. Round about ideas, like Spring, Summer, or Fall will be the closest that I get to giving an exact date. I know that might make you angry, frustrated, and you might call me bad names. *Whoosah* I'm not doing it to make you angry. Instead, I'm doing it so that you aren't mad at me if I have to push a date back some. I hate disappointing you guys. I really, really do. For those of you that know me personally, you know that what I am saying is very true. Guilt eats at me.
See, I could set a date months later than I think it will actually release. I could sit on the book and wait for that date to roll around and then publish it. Or, I can work my butt off and try to get it out as quickly as possible. Then it will be more like a happy surprise when it's ready. I will let you know when it's with my editor, when it's being formatted, and when it's been uploaded to all of the different sites. However, I will not tell you an exact date. The only way to have an exact date is to have the book done early and then to wait to publish it. This works for some people, but I honestly hate having a book ready and not getting it out there for my readers.
I hope that you guys understand.
And, to leave you on a happy note...

Whenever it is ready, I'll be ready to read it!! I'm sure it will be worth the wait! Your books rock! Thanks for being such a talented writer and enlightening everyone with an amazing story line!
ReplyDeleteThank you for reading my books! And for that awesome comment! :)
ReplyDeleteAgreed! I just read both these books in 2 days because I couldn't put them down, can't wait to read more. As a southern girl from alabama I always like to read books that southerners write and this series has been great! Keep them coming
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh I can not wait till immortal grave comes out I love the other two :) ahhh can't wait I love your books.
ReplyDelete:)
I can't wait until it comes out! But, you rock. You've cranked out these awesome books incredibly fast, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
ReplyDeleteJust curious if there is an update as to the expected release date? Unfortunately when you put yourself on an original time line you created some expectation and anticipation. I would think that updating your readers and customers on progress would be a top priority. It's been over a month since the expected release. i am not trying to be rude, i just now as a consumer I like my "stuff" in a timely manner, or at least to be updated. If this is how you do business I won't be following your books, although I did enjoy the firsts of the series. I just don't like sloppy business.
ReplyDeleteBe Well.
This blog post is an update. Its to let you know that I pushed the date back. I will not give an exact date for the release. As for it being sloppy business, well, its part of life. Things change. Also, I technically never gave an exact date for the release in March. So, it certainly isn't a month late as of yet. However, if waiting for the the best version of my novel is a probem, then I truly wish you the best is your book search. I will not publish the novel before I feel that it is ready; I will not publish something that is less than my readers deserve.
ReplyDeleteTake your time girl! (But not too much time please..) I absolutely LOVE your books! I was completely on edge after I finished the second book and I am anxiously anticipating Immortal Grave! Yay!!! But seriously.. I have read books where the author has rushed to get the book done and it just isn't the same. And what u said was so perfect! I would rather wait a little longer than necessary to get the perfect ending than barely wait at all and be disappointed by a book that sucked. Tanks for all the hard work you put into your books! I am most definitely a Nichole Chase fan!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you! :)
DeleteI can't wait to read this new final book, I started your books a few months ago. I am a 33 year old mother and I read books that my 11 year old wants to read, in order to make sure that they are not too old for her and I couldn't put them down myself and look forward to the next book. I have really enjoyed your books and it surprised me because I am older however I didn't feel an age gap in your books they are amazing.
ReplyDeleteThat makes me incredibly happy! Thank you!
DeleteI stumbled upon your books while anxiously waiting for the releases of "Insurgent" by Veronica Roth, and "Trylle Trilogy" by Amanda Hocking. I read everyday and it's becoming harder to find good reads. I read over a dozen books while waiting and was disappointed until I found Dark Betrayal Trilogy :) I have to say, now I'm anxiously waiting for the release of Immortal Grave along with Insurgent and the Trylle Trilogy! I really enjoyed your books and hope to read Immortal Grave soon, however long it takes, it will be worth the wait ^_^ The character "Roland" grew on me, (Ima cheeseball for underdogs) and I hope he gets a happy ending or at least a bite out of Ree :) I hope to read more goodies from you!
ReplyDeleteWOW! You've put me in some good company! I LOVED Divergent. I can't wait to read the next one.
DeleteAnd I am a huge underdog fan. Roland has a special place in my heart, but that is all I will say on that one! ;)
I loved the books! I consider it to be sloppy business when a writer throws together a book that isn't well written. Good luck finding any other authors besides Indie authors who crank out a great series so quickly! Great job!
